MCDL Mission

"The MCDL Mission is to promote the safety, fun, and learning of the sport of Springboard Diving through instructional practice and age-level competition."

Overview

The Montgomery County Diving League was started with a handful of pools back in the late 70s. Now, we have 25 pools as members and we have over 900 divers participate in springboard diving each summer. In 2004, the 8 & Unders set the first records for highest Dual Meet score, highest Divisional score, and highest Allstar score.

The 2005 season of the Montgomery County Diving League saw 5 of those 6 new records broken. We have an impressive class of younger divers coming up through the League and it will be very exciting to see how many records they set as they learn new dives and skills.

The current MCDL Handbook and Rules for Competition are distributed to all dive team representatives to circulate to their dive families. This little book includes the Season Calendar, seeding and divisions, member pools and directions, diving records, tables and explanations of dives, checklists for team reps, judges and referees, and past All-Star Meet results.
