| Palisades Pool (http://www.palisadespool.com/) is looking for an Assistant Diving Coach for the 2013 summer diving season of the Montgomery County Diving League. Our team has approximately 30 to 40 members, with most of them being in the younger age groups. The emphasis of the team is that everyone has an enjoyable time, including the coaches. That said, we are looking responsible, well organized, and outgoing individuals that will provide high quality coaching and inspiration for our youthful team members. Of course, safety is our highest priority.
We follow the MCDL meet schedule (http://www.mcdiving.org/2013.shtm) and expect the Assistant Coach to be able to attend all of them (some exeptions may be allowed with prior approval). The Assistant Coach will be required to help support practices/training in a safe and efficient manner, possibly under the guidance of the head coach. The Assitant Coach will also support the preparation of the team members for the dive meets, which includes but is not limited to the preparation of dive meet sheets, and preparing them for the meet procedure and environment. The Assitant Coach is also expected to assist in team building activities, such as “casual” recruiting and helping the team spirit by participating in various social events, especially post meet parties and etc. The practices are typically scheduled for Monday through Friday in the mornings and late afternoons from Memorial through to the end of the MCDL dive season. In addition to the competitive pay, the coachs will be given the exclusive right to provide private paid dive lessons at Palisades Pool and access to the pool for their personal use for the summer. | I am looking for a Head Coach position at a pool in the area. I am willing and ready to
coach all ages and types, and make it a goal to keep the parents informed and involved in
everything. I enjoy coaching, and am able to coach, every kid from the most basic summer
divers experimenting for the first time with diving to the more advanced kids who may
even have experience as MDC divers.
I spent two years at Potomac Woods as the Assistant Coach helping to bring the team to an undefeated record in one season and a winning record the next. I have also spent the past two summers at Country Glen Swim Club as the Head Coach where I took the team from no wins in the previous two years to an undefeated record in my first season there(including divisionals), as well as a winning record in my second year there tying for second in divisionals. In terms of diving experience, I started diving 7 years ago in summer league at Potomac Woods and then became part of the Montgomery Dive Club (MDC) for four years competing at the national level. I now dive for the Georgetown Swim and Dive Team as a sophomore at Georgetown University. Feel free to contact me via email or phone at any time. bryandoremus@gmail.com (301) 367-3277 |
